The Royal Golf Marrakech consists of three 9-hole courses set in 45 hectares of parkland, less than 3 miles from Marrakech city centre.  The Pasha of Marrakech opened the original course in 1923.  The order of the original 18 holes was altered to offer more of a challenge in 1994, and the addition of the Menara loop was officially opened on 2008.

The course is set in a dense forest of cypress, eucalyptus and palm trees, and has magnificent views of the majestic High Atlas Mountains.  It is an old style course that is flat and a little ‘samey’, although the addition of the Menara course throws in some interest.

The Marrakech Royal Golf Club is one of the oldest golf clubs in Morocco, but is starting to show its age.  It is constantly being renovated and improved, but the facilities are still a little tired.  There is a clubhouse with snack bar, changing rooms, pro shop, David Leadbetter Golf academy, practice range and putting green.  Equipment is available for hire.
