The peace and serenity of this hotel is amazing considering its location – right in the middle of Marrakech Medina.  Surrounded by trees laden with oranges and bird song, traditional fountains gurgling in the background, and beautiful courtyards and gardens – it is hard to believe you are in the center of one of the world’s most hectic cities. With attentive staff quiet in their efficiency, luxuriant rooms oozing comfort, tempting pools and wonderfully delicious food, once you have stepped through the ornately hand crafted door you will not want to leave. The food, service and attention to detail are outstanding – as you would expect from one of the few Relais et Chateaux hotels in Morocco.

Villa des Orangers - Completely

This magnificent Riad - once the residence of a Judge – was converted into a luxury boutique hotel by a French couple with an already established and successful hotel business in Paris.

Authentically restored using only local craftsmen, the exquisite quality of their workmanship is ever apparent.  The striking Zelige tiles (mosaic), cool Tadelakt (Moroccan polished plaster) and ornately carved plasterwork are everywhere you look, together with the distinctly Moroccan smell of beautifully carved cedar wood.

With its many courtyards, lounges, salons and roof terraces, you will always find somewhere quiet to sit and sip your mint tea or G ‘n T, read your book in blissful solitude or meet fellow guests and swap stories of your Moroccan adventures.

Take a dip in one of the three pools, have an invigorating Hammam followed by a relaxing massage, pamper yourself in the beauty centre, or simply chill out and soak up the atmosphere whilst the excellent and dedicated staff take care of your every whim.

The palatial, Moorish styled rooms and suites are arranged on two levels and around three courtyards - one filled with lush orange trees, one with traditional fountains and lacy carved plasterwork, and the third a beautiful garden and the largest of the three pools.

Room descriptions

The Villa des Orangers’ Gastronomical restaurants offer a daily choice of delicious Moroccan menus and Mediterranean cuisine. Breakfast and a light lunch are included, as well as all soft drinks.  Villa des Orangers is fully licensed, and has an excellent and extensive wine list.
