The Riad Souika is a gorgeous little Riad in the heart of Marrakech Medina,  perfect as a romantic hideaway, a base for a family holiday or for a small house party.  Aziz - the quietly efficient houseman is on hand to look after your every wish, from preparing the most delicious meals to having your laundry pressed, bringing you cool drinks as you sunbathe on the roof terrace, or making a restaurant booking.  Peaceful, cosy and comfortable, a stay at the Souika will leave you relaxed, revitalised and yearning to come back for more.

Riad Souika - Completely

Originally renovated by Max Lawrence (designer of Tigmi), and more recently by the lovely owners Susan Lourenço and Louis Williams, their thoughtful restoration has provided lots of wonderfully traditional features such as Tadelakt walls, Bejmat tiles, intricately painted Zouak, colourful wood ceilings, antique doors, ‘Moucharabieh’ carved cedar wood, and ornate ironwork.  The comfortable sitting room has a large open fire for chilly winter evenings, and Satellite TV for those who like to keep up with the world’s news.  There is a sound system for listening to your favourite CD’s, lots of books to borrow when relaxing of the roof terraces and a delightful courtyard with traditional fountain, plants and trees. The sitting room also has air-conditioning.

There are three double rooms, two on the first floor and one on the roof, all with lovely en-suite bathrooms with bath or shower, air-conditioning and heating.  One of the rooms on the first floor has an open fire, and all are individually decorated in beautiful Moroccan styles.  The Riad can be booked exclusively as a whole, or room-by-room.

Aziz is an excellent cook, and we strongly recommend you ask him to prepare at least one lunchtime or evening meal for you during your stay.  A hearty Moroccan breakfast is included, and beer and wine can be made available on request.
