The charming French owner, Jocelyne Despin has lovingly restored this truly delightful 8 bedroom Riad, located in one of the quietest and more accessible quarters of the ancient Medina. It is a long-standing favourite with clients and Complete Morocco staff alike, an oasis of calm and beauty amidst the hustle and bustle of Marrakech.  The staff are amongst the friendliest and most welcoming in Marrakech, offering sincere warmth and genuine hospitality – nothing is too much trouble so don’t be afraid to ask!

Riad Les Yeux Bleus - Completely

Riad Les Yeux Bleus consists of two adjoining Riads, interconnecting through a courtyard and roof terrace.  The use of local craftsmen to restore the mosaic tiles, ornate plasterwork, Tadelakt walls, cedar wood carvings and antique doors have lead to the completion of this beautifully authentic Riad, serene and understated, providing a wonderful ambience of peace and perfect tranquillity.

The main patio courtyard has a delightful pool with gorgeous blue zelige tiles, and is planted with bamboo, clementine, lemon and palm trees.  The second courtyard is more private, and has a traditional marble fountain burbling at its centre.  The roof terraces with wonderful views over Marrakech provide a lovely solarium with comfortable sun beds.  There is also a luxurious shady pergola as well as tables and chairs for al fresco dining.

Take a cooling dip in the beautifully inviting pool, relax in the courtyard with mint tea, listening to the bird song and in the company of Nanu – the very friendly and welcoming resident ginger cat, or sunbath on the sprawling roof terraces.  Sit and watch the sun set over the pink city with a refreshing drink at the end of a hard day shopping in the souks, having first had a relaxing yet revitalising Hammam – one of the best we have experienced in Morocco!

On cooler days you can sit in one of the salons in front of a roaring fire, looking out at the beautiful courtyard with columns and arches, ornate doors, plants and trees mirrored in the sparkling blue swimming pool.

Eight beautiful, individually decorated bedrooms (twins and doubles), two with a fireplace on the ground floor facing the pool in the main Riad, and another three rooms upstairs overlooking the pool with small loggias outside each.  A further three rooms are in the second Riad, arranged around the courtyard overlooking the fountain, one on the ground floor and two upstairs.  All have gorgeous Tadelakt en-suite bathrooms, individual heating and air-conditioning.  Each of the Riads (one with five bedrooms, one with three) can be reserved exclusively for larger families or parties, as can the complete Riad as a whole.  In the event of a private rental of just one of the riads, please be advised that the public spaces (patio, salons, terrace, pool ...) will be shared with guests staying in the other Riad.

Breakfast is included, and lunch and dinner available on request.  The extremely talented chef specialises mainly in traditional Moroccan cuisine, and will prepare the most fabulous meals for you with just a few hours notice.  Eat in the courtyard by the pool, in one of the salons during cooler weather or on the beautiful roof terraces during the warmer months.  Please be advised – lunch is usually a three-course meal – the huge salad is just a starter!  Please let the chef know in advance if you only want a very light lunch.

Les Yeux Bleus have a lovely, traditional Hammam, which is an absolute must!  They also offer massage and other spa treatments on request.
