Hotel Tichka - Briefly
Designed by the famous French architect Charles Boccara (who also designed Les Deux Tours in the Palmeraie of Marrakech), the hotel Tichka is an superb 4-star hotel situated in the New Town of Gueliz. Just a 10-minute petit taxi ride from the old Medina, it is perfectly placed for the discerning guest seeking comfort, traditional opulence and excellent value for money.
Hotel Tichka - Completely
Built with traditional Moroccan architecture in mind, the Hotel Tichka is a stylish hotel, which successfully combines customary workmanship with modern amenities to create its inviting comfort and charm. The very grand atrium with its impressive high ceiling sets the scene, and all the main guest areas are lavishly decorated and furnished, intent on traditional Moroccan design to great effect.
The bar with its stunning hammered-copper ceiling is decorated and furnished in a warm, deep red. The lounge area with comfy chairs and sofas invites you to sit in its welcoming cool space, away from the heat of the day.
Outside, the beautifully manicured gardens offer lawns, patios and terraces for sun bathing, relaxing, or an al fresco meal, and a magnificent pool, (supposedly) heated in the winter (but not enough to entice us in on a chilly January day!!).

The hotel Tichka has 130 air-conditioned rooms and suites, all recently renovated and equipped with heating, a mini-bar, safety deposit box, telephone and satellite TV. All are beautifully decorated, have en-suite bathrooms, and most have a balcony over-looking the pool and gardens. We do not recommend the suites as they overlook the car park and are really not worth paying the extra. We always request a pool view room with balcony for our clients, although this can not be guaranteed.
Many of the rooms interconnect, and with low room rates and single supplements, we feel it is both beneficial and cost effective to book single occupancy or interconnecting rooms when traveling with friends or a larger family.
There are 2 restaurants at the hotel Tichka – ‘Johara’ which offers local, traditional Moroccan cuisine, and ‘Ambar’ with an international menu. Both are lavishly decorated with individual styles and colours. Breakfast is included, a buffet lunch is served on the Terrace (weather permitting), and bar snacks are available all day, together with 24 hour room service.

The traditional Hammam (steam bath) offers a wide range of gommage rituals, and massage and beauty treatments are also available. There is a sauna and solarium.
