“Dear Janine.

Many thanks for organising our recent holiday to Morocco – it was a fantastic holiday in all respects. Everything went very smoothly and we thoroughly enjoyed all the experiences (Riad Les Yeux Bleus in Marrakech, Kasbah du Toubkal in Imlil and Heure Bleue in Essaouira).

Thank you once again for your efforts – we have recommended your company to several  friends whilst describing the holiday.   Regards, T & A.  F. ”  April 2013

MdS 2013 Friends and Family Feedback

“Janine,

Thank you so much for your excellent organisation for our trip to the Marathon des Sables finish line.  A long journey – arriving at 11pm and setting off again for the desert at 3.30am the following morning was very tiring.  The cold water provided on the mini-bus was a nice touch, and the lunch box very good!  It was amazing to see our son cross the finish line – we would not have missed it for the world!  In hindsight we should have come a day earlier as you had suggested.

We were very impressed with the hotel (Berbere Palace) and the great buffet breakfast and dinners.  It was also lovely to meet you at the hotel – you were very attentive and we appreciated all of your help and advise very much!  We have passed your details on to some friends already, and will not hesitate to recommend Complete Morocco to others.”  D&H. “Dear Janine

Just back from our fabulous trip to Morocco, I wanted to thank you for your perfect organisation of our mini bus trip to the desert for the end of the MdS.  Everything went very smoothly, and it was especially nice to know you were at hand should we need anything.  We will be back for a proper holiday soon.”  S.M.  April 2013

“Dear Janine,

It was very good to meet you in Ouarzazate and P. and I are most grateful for all your help in arranging our trip to see our son finish the MdS. We were amazed at how well he looked, fit as a flea I would have said (but then I was not inside his head or his body!). We would not have missed the trip for anything, and your assistance was invaluable.

We have passed on all your details, and those of the Berbere Palace Hotel, so you may well be getting another enquiry in due course Emoji 0263A Client feedback.

With thanks and best wishes,

M & P .F”.  April 2013.

“Hi Janine,

Just a quick email to say thanks for arranging an amazing holiday for us.  The accommodation was fantastic (Riad Les Yeux Bleus, Marrakech and Heure Bleue, Essaouira), we had the riad in Marrakech to ourselves.  Your lovely representative in Morocco was so welcoming and helpful.

We had a great time and hope to return soon.  Thanks again.

“ Hi Janine,
I am sorry it has taken me awhile to write to you about our trip.  We had AN AWESOME TIME!  We really enjoyed it.

Fes – we landed and it was raining…and other than my destroying the soap dispenser in the bathroom, everything at the airport went well.  Our driver was there waiting for us. He was very interesting and did his best to show us sites on our way to the hotel.  The hotel (Riad Maison Bleue) was drop dead gorgeous.  It was a very comfortable room and bed.  I hated to leave…They go above and beyond in the way of hospitality. We had the tea service then we went to our room, and there was a fruit basket and more goodies along with a bottle of water.   The people there were very kind and helpful to us, going above and beyond; i.e. we had a little time to kill from the tour to leaving and they went out of their way to make us a sandwich.  Our guide there was very charming. They call him Banana because of the Yellow kepi he wears.  We told him we weren’t there to shop but to experience.  He took us to a few shops to get the experience but was full of so much knowledge. We enjoyed our time with him.

Meknes – The driver who took us there was fine.  Not talkative but that is OK, I understand not everyone is comfortable speaking English. He got us there safely.  The Riyadh (Riad Lahboul) was definitely different that Fes.  It didn’t have any garden nor pool so it was a bit dark inside.  It was just different, but not necessarily bad. The woman who greeted us was very nice.  We got through with her broken English and our broken french.  The room was very nice.  The only thing that was a bit disconcerting was that the towels don’t dry there so we still had wet towels again in second morning.  Again, not a big deal but others might be put off by that.  The bed was comfortable which is what is really important.  We had a great time seeing our daughter, and we met the owner the last night and they were very welcoming to having Ari spend the night in our room. There was an extra bed in there (which we didn’t know) and they welcomed her with open arms!

Marrakesh-  The Riyadh here was also very pretty (Riad Les Yeux Bleus). A lovely garden and pool similar to the Riyadh in Fes.  We met your counterpart there (whose name I am sorry to say I don’t recall at this time).  It was a very comfortable room as well.  One funny thing happened the first morning. We woke up to no electricity! The funny thing is that it was only our room.  Something about the main line. They handled it very well, brought us candles…another exploit which sets our trip apart from other people’s.  The one thing I would suggest when you book people there.  Ask them not to put them in the room next to the kitchen.  It can be a bit noisy in the late afternoon, which kind of ruins the ambiance.   We had a great guide here as well.  He had a great personality and we got along very well.  So well in fact, that his daughter is writing to me and I am going to help her attend college in the U.S.

We have delightful memories of our trip and once we know more French would love to go back again.

Thanks so much for putting together an awesome trip for us!  Feel free to ask me if you have any questions about anything I’ve said.”  S&E S.  March 2013

“Just wanted to thank you for our recommendation – we had a truly wonderful holiday in two contrasting but gorgeous places in Morocco (Kasbah Bab Ourika in the High Atlas Mountains and Heure Bleue in Essaouira).  Everything went like clockwork so thanks again for your suggestions and organisation.”  J.H. “Dear Janine

We have returned earlier this evening having had a very good time in Fez.  Matthew and Marcus so enjoyed the trip across country – though the desert was freezing , it all added to the adventure for them. The hotel was quirky and comfortable , a bit cold and a bit old-fashioned but the staff were lovely. We had a room at the top which opened on to the roof so we had a view of the hills if you looked around the roof covering, but the light and our little terrace off the bathroom and the access to the top terrace where I fell asleep in the sun when I arrived were lovely.  Anyway for us we like quirky and the rooms at La Maison were spacious with spectacular mouldings.   All the logistics with cars etc worked very well – they are such a nice people! Thank you so much – Matthew is wanting to do a trip with all our boys and maybe me , to include maybe camel trekking and some walking – so I am sure we will be in touch ! In the meantime is there any information you can give us on these possibilities?
Happy New Year
Warmest thanks ”  CE Dec 12

“Hi Jannine, some feedback on our holiday which was absolutely fantastic. Dar Zitoune, Taroudant – wonderful setting, accommodation lovely, staff delightful and food very good. Lovely to have owner present, always checking that his clients are having a good time.
Did the half day Oasis trip which we thoroughly enjoyed. Weather was fab(27C). Such a pretty setting. Best b’fast out of our 3 hotels. Dar Loulema, beautiful riad, lovely views and accommodation lovely although beds small, but on 2 of the nights hot water bottles given which was a nice touch. Had a lovely dinner at Villa Maroc(would stay there if returning), and spent the day at their other property which has a pool and provides a lovely lunch.
Riad El Zohar, which I know isn’t on your books is beautiful, very nice staff .
Spent my b’day at Tigmi which is fab. And owner charming, delicious lunch. Would definitely go back to there.  Thank you so much for being so helpful and efficient.
Wishing you a Happy New Year.”  CG Dec 12

“Janine – hallo
We are back from Morocco and wanted to give you some feedback since we had a really great trip.
Riad Dar Zouhour in Rabat was very welcoming and was an excellent base being in the medina and very close to the kasbah.
The driver from Fes was waiting when we appeared for breakfast on Wednesday. The small people carrier was very comfortable (we had been expecting a beaten up Mercedes!) and the overland trip easily took in Meknes and Volubilis. Mohammed, the driver’s English was good and he was pretty knowledgable so we saw more of Meknes than we would have done if on our own.
Riad Maison Bleue lived up to the comments about it on the web site. We had a great suite and their service standards were very high. We had a guide for the first morning and then made sense of the medina on our own. We were persuaded to book him again for the following morning to do the rampart circuit, together with the overland driver and this in retrospect was a mistake. The ramparts, new medina and Jewish quarter could easily be done with just a driver and a guide book – the guide took us nowhere we could not have found ourselves. If you have any control over guiding you might suggest this; however we might also have had an exceptional driver who spoke English well and was well informed. We resisted the drive into the Middle Atlas but would have done this with another day. Three days in Fes itself was just about the right time unless you want to indulge in serious shopping and bargaining!
We really enjoyed time in the villes nouvelles of both Rabat and Fes. In particular Fes has this beautiful central boulevard with trees and green down the centre; it was a stunning contrast to the medina and maybe something that gets overlooked.
As you said, train travel was easy and Fes station a most impressive building. We reached Casablanca just in time to reach the afternoon tour of the Grand Mosque and then a walk around the significant restored 1920s buildings in the city, courtesy of an excellent guided tour in Lonely Planet. I booked the Hotel Idou Anfa (4 star) on Blvd Anfa through Booking.com. This is slightly away from the centre but had the advantage of being quiet, despite being on a main city artery, and with a 15th floor view of the Mosque and city towards the sea. The front desk was a little brusque with little English spoken; however it’s a business person’s hotel, taxi drivers know it, comfortable and with a bar+food on the 15th floor which was a perfect place to crash out on our final night. So – not if you want the inner city on your doorstep, but perfect for an early morning get away to the airport.
So – feel free to use any of this information that might be new to you and to quote for the web site. You were extremely helpful and knowledgable when it came to planning the trip; the recommendations for accommodation were excellent and all timings worked perfectly. As a second trip to Morocco, to three imperial cities, we have greatly increased our knowledge of the country while at the same time having some great food and wine (much improved since we were last there 5 years ago).
Thanks again.”  P&R B.  Nov 12

“Hello Janine
Just a quick email to say how pleased we were with the accommodation and all the arrangements. Everything went very smoothly, no hassles at all. Both of our chosen accommodations (Les Yeux Bleus and Kasbah Bab Ourika) surpassed expectations, they were both of the highest quality.
Thank you very much and I have already recommended ‘completemorocco’  to friends and acquaintances.

“Dear Janine

Just a quick email to thank you very much for your suggested holiday itinerary for a weeks holiday in Morocco. My husband Ian and I had a amazing week (seemed like two!) staying at the Riad Les Yeux Bleu and the Kasbah de Toubkal last week! Also please pass on our thanks to Mrs Souad El Hammioui for contacting us upon our arrival, though we must apologise for not actually thanking her in person, and for organising the transport to and from the airport and accommodation… it made the holiday almost stress less!!

We will, without hesitation, recommend Completely Morocco to any friend who is thinking about a trip to Morocco and hope one day to make another visit to this vibrant country one day in the future.

Kindest regards  J & I. P.”  Nov 2012

“Janine,

“Hi Janine – It’s quite a while since we got back from Morocco now. We meant to write to you sooner to thank you for the arrangements that you made for us to stay at the Riad Souika in Marrakesh.

We had a great time there, and really enjoyed staying at the riad, which we thought was fantastic. We were also extremely impressed by the arrangements that Complete Morocco made for us. We hadn’t expected Souad to be available in the town to ensure that everything was all right, and to make sure that we got off safely.

We don’t know when that will next be back in Morocco, but we would certainly use Complete Morocco again. I’ve made a point of mentioning your firm in my Trip Advisor review of the Riad Souika.

Once again, apologies for not writing sooner. Now that it’s the holiday season again, there’s a bit of time it catch up on things.

We hope you have a good Christmas, and wish you every success in 2013. Margaret joins me in sending thanks and seasonal greetings.

All good wishes” – GC Oct 12

“Dear Janine

We would just like to thank you for organising our holiday to Les Yeux Bleu in Marrakech followed by Kasbah Bab Ourika. From the initial enquiry and the speed in which you dealt with it with such short notice, to the detailed information and correspondence – everything was efficient and friendly.
On arrival in Morocco your contacts and yourself arranged restaurant bookings, guided tours, drivers, hammam etc to ensure we managed to pack a lot in to a short holiday.
The accommodation was as described and we were very happy with both places. While at Bab Ourika we had a very interesting guided trek and a trip by 4×4 into the mountains all enabled by the very capable Amanda, for which nothing was too much trouble.
We will recommend you highly to anyone wishing to make a trip to Morocco in the future.
Thank you. D&B W”.  September 2012

“Janine

Just a few words to say what a fantastic holiday. I did some sightseeing around the souks, museums, palaces etc. but mostly just relaxed and read.

The Riad Les Yeux Bleus is amazing, an absolute oasis in the noise and hustle (literally) of the Medina.

Thank you so much for your help, also pass my thanks on to Souad, who was most efficient and friendly.

I’ll be back!

“Janine at Complete Morocco organised a week long trip for my 10 year old daughter and I.  Given that we were a mother + young girl traveling alone, it was vital that we felt safe and that everything went smoothly.  Her suggestions were excellent. Both hotels were of a very good standard and I felt we paid a very fair price for such comfortable and luxurious properties (L’Heure Bleue in Essaouira and Les Deux Tours in the Palmarie in Marrakech).  The cars + drivers were all punctual, polite and helpful. The paperwork provided was clear and helpful. Complete Morocco took away any stress involved in planning a trip and this meant we had a simply wonderful holiday. Thank you Janine + co!” KP August 2012

“Hi Janine.  We had a great time in Morocco! Great food and service in the Kasbah Bab Ourika and lovely venue-especially Amanda who was very attentive.  The riad Les yeux Bleue was beautiful ( we had it to ourselves!) and the staff lovely.  Many thanks for organising it all for us. We’ve got a lot more world to see but we would consider going back one day and we know where to come and who to recommend.  Kind regards, L&P”  June 12

“I’m just emailing to say we had a fantastic time in Morocco, in the mountains (Chez Momo II) and in Marrakech (Riad Les Yeux Bleus) -both hotels were excellent. Everything you organised worked like clockwork, so thankyou! I’m sure we’ll be heading back to Morocco at some point as we’d both like to see the desert.  I’d be very happy to post a 100% positive review of Complete Morocco if you want and can suggest a suitable site (eg trip advisor?), we had an excellent honeymoon and your organisation was perfect. I think a trip to the desert would make an excellent anniversary!
Best wishes, and many thanks from both of us.  J&Z”  June 12

“Hi Janine – just a quickie to say thanks so much for sorting our holiday.  E and I had a brilliant time and loved both hotels (Villa des Orangers and Kasbah Tamadot) and Marrakesh – I’m sure we will be going back ! Best.  BL”  (10 June 12)

“Hello Janine,
You will be relieved to hear that we arrived home safely yesterday afternoon after an excellent flight.  We would both like to thank you for your patience and kind concern.  We were finally sprung from the hospital at 6.30 pm on Tuesday and whizzed straight back to Bab Ourika where Amanda had champagne on ice for us!  Please pass on our thanks to Souad whose support was much appreciated, especially in lending us her personal mobile to call the UK when our phone’s credit died (charges are horrendous on a prepay phone aren’t they!)  On that point Peter apologises for his abrupt response to your phone call, we only had £3 left on the phone and it was costing us £2 to receive each call.  We are sure you will understand that we were most grateful for the contact and knowing that you were there for us.  We old fogies have learned a valuable lesson – no prepay phones abroad – get a decent phone!
Apart from our medical panics, the holiday was wonderful.  Your choice of Riad (Les Yeux Bleus) in Marrakesh was inspired and as for the Bab Ourika – WOW.  The transfers were all done most efficiently and with top quality cars and drivers.  We will not hesitate to recommend your company.  In fact Pam has already recommended you to her hairdresser and everyone else in the salon!
With the best of luck for the rest of the season,
Kind regards
P & P”

“Hi Janine,
I just wanted to send a quick email to thank you for your fantastic organisation in arranging the mini bus to get Lisa to the finish. I know you have asked her for specific feedback and she will email but I just wanted to say that you’ve been great and I only wish I’d known about you to have booked her whole trip through you – Best of Morocco were somewhat disappointing in their communication, organisation and pick ups.
If you need a testimonial in the future or for next year’s event, do not hesitate to ask and best of luck with it all.

“Dear Janine,

A quick note to let you know everything went well last weekend at the MDS. You did an amazing job in organising it! The mini bus was impeccable and the driver was great. The road to the finish line was of ravishing beauty. My partner finished in the 147th position and he enjoyed the marathon very much. The finish line was packed with emotion, in such a magical setting. The next day there was a ceremony which rewarded many categories. Also the Riad Salam is a very pittoresque hotel that I very much liked!

Thank you so much, it wouldn’t have been the same without your amazing talent!

With my best regards,  ML” (16 April 12)

“Dear Janine,  I wanted to thank you for helping us organizing a great holiday.  The Ryad (Les Yeux Bleus) in Marrakech  was super and so was the resort in Agadir (Sofitel Royal Bay Agadir).  I am recommending Morocco and your company to all our friends.   We will definitely go again in the future.”  EP March 2012

“We had a lovely time, the riad (Rid Les Yeux Bleus) was perfect and we were virtually the only people there, so they looked after us really well. Rashid served us a delightful breakfast on the sunroof in an “Arabian Nights” type of shelter and we made friends with the cat in the absence of our dog. I had a really bad back second day and they made an appointment with the masseur who came and pounded it into submission – it was a bit sore the next day but then recovered quicker than it ever has (recurring problem), so I really appreciated that. We thought the position was ideal as we could walk most places and every night went down to the square to find something to eat and generally ogle the crowds – first night Sat of course, so quite a shock to the system! We also walked to the Jardins Majorelle and the modern quarter (although I don’t know why we bothered with that as the traditional parts are so much nicer). We have been to Egypt and found the “pester” power to be a lot easier to deal with in Morocco and felt we made one or two reasonable deals.

“We had a lovely rest at Chez Momo and loved the views. It was quite chilly in the evenings of course, but watching one of the staff stoke up a roaring fire was good entertainment! The standards were not up to Riad Les Yeux Bleus – which was exceptional, but the service and food was great. It was nice to get a bottle of wine to go with dinner too.

“All in all I want to thank you again for your excellent organisational skills in the UK and for a lovely holiday. We would certainly recommend Complete Morocco to anyone else and hope to return again some day!”  Sue & Ian D Feb 2012

“Thanks for your help planning everything, being very flexible to bring in different elements to the itinerary and within a very short timeframe.  Morocco was for us the ideal destination – complete culture change, hot, very friendly people, totally safe, the souks and markets were a fun level of bargaining, not a stressful level.  Western tourists do not dominate in the places we went, so it was great to just be a small part alongside Moroccans also on holiday or on a night out.  The low summer season, and the Arab Spring, meant a lot of places were very quiet.” GC July 2011

“Just a little thank you for helping me make H’s trip to Marrakech a reality.  The staff at the hotel (Les Jardins de la Medina) were wonderful, so please do not hesitate to recommend it to any other disabled clients.  Even the Souks have been paved since my last visit – and we found the Moroccans very eager to help with the wheelchair.  Thank you again Janine – it really has meant so much to me.”  H.D.  June 2011
